Good News Smooth Rock Falls, we've partnered with Feed Ontario through the Cochrane Food Bank

Rockin' Veggies has a social mission to feed the community of Smooth Rock Falls. Not only does our mission include fighting hunger and food insecurity we also want to provide local access to nutritious food for low-income individuals.

One of the greatest challenges for low-income individuals and families is limited access. Most do not have a way to travel and rely on others to provide transportation where they can access affordable food or foodbanks when funds have run out. This challenge provides increased stress and financial strain to their already limited incomes. To combat this Rockin' Veggies has a plan. Not only will our Community Greenhouse offer fresh vegetables to our people at little or no cost, we working with Feed Ontario through the Cochrane Foodbank to open an official Smooth Rock Falls Foodbank. We will fill a much-needed gap in services for individuals and families living in Smooth Rock Falls.

Here's how you can help:

• Financial Contribution

• Fridge or Freezer

• Strong Shelving Units or wood to build one

• Volunteer

• Soil, sheep manure, compost....etc

• 1L or 2L cleaned empty Milk/Juice carton

This long-term project requires partnerships so as a community we can serve our people. We appreciate one-time and monthly donors that will help with the burden of fuel, hydro and other costs associated with feeding our community. We look forward to building services for our community through partnerships with people like you.
